is not a free clinic. We offer a sliding scale to our uninsured patients
based on their household income and number of family members living in

How
much does an office visit cost?
Uninsured patients to the health center pay on a sliding
fee scale. Based on
your household income and number of family members living in the home, determines
the amount of your office visit. back

Can
I just walk in and be seen?
Existing patients of the OCHS can be seen on a walk-in basis, pending
availability of walk-in appointments. New patients to the health center must
first schedule
a new patient appointment. After that initial appointment, then the patient can
be seen on a walking basis. back

Do
you do x-rays?
The dental clinic is equipped to take dental x-rays. The medical clinic does
not currently have a radiology department, but does give our patients in need
of x-rays referrals for that service. back

What
do I need to bring to my first visit?
• When visiting for the first time, you must
bring proper
identification
(i.e. Social Security card, valid driver’s license, birth certificate or
another form of official identification).
• If you have private insurance, Medicaid or Medicare, you must bring your
card.
• If uninsured, you have to bring a pay stub, an unemployment check stub,
a recent
tax return or a letter from your employer to prove your family income.
• You must also bring all current medications with you.
• Children needing immunizations must have their current record of immunizations
received. back

you do lab work?
Yes. We have an onsite laboratory to do testing at the health center. back

you take Medicaid?
Yes. OCHS does accept Medicaid in both our medical and dental clinics. back

Can you help me with my medications?
We have a Patient Assistance Program where if you qualify we can get certain
medications for free. Other medications can be purchased at a discounted rate
through our Pharmacy Program. back

How much is a pap smear?
$15 – but this would be in addition to the office visit. back

Do you do STD’s?
We do test and treat for STD’s. back

Do
you do shots or immunizations?
Yes. Immunizations are free to children if that is all they are being
seen for. If they have something else they are being seen for, like
a sore throat, then
there would be an office visit fee, but the vaccinations would still be free
to child.back

Do you have payment plans?
We can work with you on payment arrangements however services such
as dentures, root canal’s and crown must be pre-paid.back

Can you extract or fill the tooth on the first visit?
Typically we do not extract or fill on the first visit. We evaluate and
do x-rays and patient and doctor develop a treatment plan.back

Do
you do free dental cleanings?
No. We do not offer free cleaning of teeth. Dental fees are based on
household
income and number of family members living the home. back
