Oklahoma
Community Health Services is always looking for volunteers! Our
Mission is to provide high quality, accessible, cost effective
health, dental and community services to those in need. Volunteers
allow us to utilize our administrative dollars to the best of
our ability and assist us in being good stewards of the resources
the community has entrusted with us.
If
you choose to volunteer at OCHS we have opportunities for a variety
of positions and at a variety of levels. Please note that all of the
positions require the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural
environment with excellent intrapersonal relationship skills.
Areas
that we need volunteer assistance include:
- Office
/ Clerical Assistance
- Marketing
/ Health Fairs: Helping to organize marketing materials, assisting
with special events
- Governing
Board, Advisory Boards & Committees
- Programs:
Volunteer as a Foster Grandparent, join the Farmworker Health Program,
assist in translation of materials for patients
All
Ages Welcome
- Students,
adults and senior citizens are the cornerstone of our volunteer base.
- We
encourage Oklahoma youth to be active participants in their communities.
Volunteer needs at OCHS tend to be better suited for high school
age students and above.
