Staff Dentist, Fort Cobb Clinic Dental
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the Dental Director. Helps implement all the dental activities and provides quality primary dental care to patients of OCHS.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Provides dental care for patients of the OCHS dental clinic by diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, malformation of teeth and gums.
2) Promotes preventive dentistry.
3) Assists dental support staff regarding referral of patients who have dental problems outside the scope of services available at OCHS.
4) Represent OCHS at various civic meetings as assigned.
5) All charting must be legible, accurate and complete.
6) Promotes standardized and uniform dental techniques and charting practices.
7) Assumes personal responsibility for keeping current in professional literature, skills and techniques.
8) In conjunction with Dental Director rotates after hours dental coverage.
9) Must be flexible with regard to work schedule to accommodate Dental Clinic need to extend hours on one or more evenings per week.
10) Other duties, as assigned.
Education, Work Experience and Specialized Skills/Knowledge:
1. D.D.S. from an approved College of Dentistry.
2. Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in Oklahoma.
3. Membership in County and State Dental Societies.
4. Desire to care for the financially disadvantaged.
5. Previous practice experience preferred.
6. Experience in preventive dentistry programs preferred.
7. Ability to communicate bilingually (English/Spanish) preferred not required.
8. Unrestricted DEA/OK BNDD Certificates.
9. Ability to work in a multi-faceted, fast past environment
ADA:
1. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
